What is Stockbeep?

Stockbeep is a market intelligence platform designed for participants in the equity markets. It helps you discover which stocks are moving today, and which stocks are moving right now. Does Stockbeep stream live data like TradingView or Refinitiv? No we do not. Such vendors stream tick by tick data to you. It is their job to provide you streaming data from the exchanges. That is not what we do. We crunch the market looking for price and volume events, and then we display the results of our analysis. How fast is Stockbeep? Firstly, there is no such thing as real time alerts. An event has to occur before an alert is triggered. Therefore all alerts are actually after the fact. Our algorithms parse the market every second, to identify price and volume events. It takes around 100ms for us to insert the alerts into our database. Therefore, we take an average of 1.1 seconds to recognize an event and insert it into the database for your retrieval. The tables in your browser refreshes every 600 ms. We'll say its probably between 1.2 and 1.8 seconds for you to receive an alert, depending on your hardware and public Internet latency. Performance on mobile will be affected when you are on public networks.
